Well Production & Water Quality Testing
If you are trying to determine the amount of water your well can produce, trust our team at Watson Well! Not only are our professionals highly knowledgeable in performing well yield tests, but they will also test your water quality to ensure that it is clean and potable.
Before testing, it is helpful to obtain any historical data on the well including a drilling log, if available. This will give us an idea of the estimated yield of the well and helps us choose the right test pump from our inventory. Choosing the right test pump is important because the objective of a well test is to draw the water level down to the pump, then slow the pump’s discharge maintaining a stabilized pumping level which is essentially the same rate as the well’s production. During this process, the pumping levels and flow rates, determined by our various sized flow meters, are continuously recorded through the required duration of the test. Once the test has ended, the well recovery rates will also be recorded.
Some well tests will require the monitoring of the static water level of neighboring wells during the well testing period to determine if there are any hydrological connections to the neighboring or other surrounding wells and what impact the drawdown of the test well will have on those wells if any.
