Hotels, casinos, resorts, apartment complexes, mobile home parks, state parks and federal facilities have trusted our ability to identify and resolve large scale water quality issues. We have installed large triplex water softeners that process hundreds of gallons per minute saving hotels thousands of dollars in fixture replacement, shower glass replacement, boiler failures, pool equipment issues due to extremely hard water.
Many commercial customers have surface water sources that require us to provide bacterial protection delivering safe potable water to their facilities. We also build commercial systems for customers using well water, needing to remove minerals or heavy metals that exceed MCL levels bringing them into compliance with state and local requirements. Our service division will provide 24hr emergency support and ongoing scheduled maintenance for these types of systems.
The techniques and methodologies we utilize when designing these larger purification systems are many times the same methods we have developed and implemented through the years for our residential customers. However larger treatment systems require a greater level of engineering since these systems scale significantly in size.
Once lab reports are reviewed, the most efficient method to provide an adequate treatment system is determined. Involved in this process is the proper sizing of filter vessels and the automated backwash valves necessary to provide specific flow rates and proper cleaning of the filters, all are important steps in the development of each individual system.
Properly blending different purification technologies to solve simple and more complex water issues is a process we are very comfortable with. For example, traditionally we have utilized chlorine or peroxide to oxidize and suspend minerals prior to filtering and disinfection, but many of our designs will utilize large-scale ozone generators to accomplish superior oxidation and disinfection in a more cost-effective and efficient way.
We are seeing the need for some commercial users to treat condensate water for repurposing. HVAC units will almost immediately develop a biofilm which slowly degrades the operations of the systems. Biofilm will leave behind a slimy discharge and film that gets to be very difficult and expensive to remediate. Biofilm is also a host for pathogens that are airborne when entering the HVAC but will thrive once inside the units affecting the supply lines and discharge lines as it continues to develop. Some cities are now requiring that the condensate water be treated before discharging into the storm drains or wastewater drains to break down the biofilm discharge and kill the pathogens.
Whether you need assistance with mineral removal, biological contamination, or extreme hard water, we can help. Watson Well has successfully developed and installed commercial water treatment systems that mitigated water issues which has previously necessitated many thousands of dollars in repairs to plumbing, kitchens, bathrooms, swimming pools, boilers, and infrastructure.
Three tri-plex water softeners were installed in a multi-floor hotel that had extremely hard water measuring 22 grains per gallon (377 mg/L) hard. The hotel was only four years old, but had already undergone multiple replacements of shower glass and water fixtures, and had suffered numerous issues with its swimming pool tiles and pool equipment due to hard water and calcium deposits.
The hotel’s restaurant had employed a separate staff just to polish hard water spots off of glasses and silver table utensils prior to their ongoing food services. But more significant concerns regarding damage to the boilers, room fixtures, and hotel plumbing were in discussion. The day we brought the Water Softening Units online, the problem went away immediately.
We recently incorporated our ozone treatment technology into a commercial treatment system treating raw well water at a flow rate of over 60 gallons per minute. The system oxidized and filtered all minerals, while providing superior disinfection protection.
EXCELLENT Based on 28 reviews Kevin Wilen2023-06-30 Don and Teri were awesome to work with. They rehabilitated two hand pump wells, installed new hand pumps on the wells, and replaced a water meter. The wells work flawlessly and are being used by campers this summer. Due to the more than expected snowfall this winter we had to wait until the site was accessible. Teri kept me notified of when they could get to the site and then Don and his crew got right in it and finished the project 3 months early. I will be using Watson Well Service again!! Thank you Don, Teri, and the team at Watson Well Service Alex Bowman2023-05-22 Watson Well repaired damage done by an earthquake in December 2022. To do so, they worked during winter storms that included high winds and snow. They showed up when they said they would every time. They are knowledgeable and skilled and place a priority on the importance of a client's ability to have running water. I wish I had the words to better express my appreciation for their work ethic. Brian Larsen2023-03-23 I have an incredibly complex well system that stopped working properly right before my farming season. Chad made it out the next day, right on time. After describing the issue and showing Chad the complexity of the system, he immediately understood the state of affairs and quickly found a solution to the problem. If you have a complex well system, Chad can fix it! I'm gonna sleep a lot better tonight! Marisela Torres2023-02-23 Really happy to find Watson well.
