All chemicals we use in the cleaning of wells for water disinfection are manufactured by Cotey Chemical; they are NSF rated and designed for potable water use.

When you notice a change in the quality of your well water such as odd smells, tastes, or even discoloration, a simple well cleaning may be all that is necessary to restore the quality of your well water. Sometimes certain types of bacteria will take hold in the well causing smell and taste changes.

Pulling the pump and sending a camera down the well to inspect it will identify any major issues taking place. If the condition of the well is in good shape, a simple brushing of the well with chlorine could remedy the problem. Additionally, there are stronger chemicals available that we can also use for well disinfection to kill more aggressive bacteria’s.
